Spinning “Stripper” Guides & Reduction Guides

Choosing the right stripper and/or reduction guides.

Stripper and reduction guide selection for a particular spinning rod is a critical part of successful “high performance” results.  It is the reason we have developed our proprietary GPS software that, with minimal preparation, will provide instant results on positioning any Fuji spinning guide available. We urge you to take the time to carefully note the measurements we request and then follow up on this page to make your final decision. Fuji offers the broadest selection of guide styles available and although we will tell you what each model is most often used for, keep an open mind. Most rods are built by first choosing a frame model, followed by a ring material (ring descriptions), a frame material or color (frame descriptions) and ultimately a size. Our guide selection charts are set up to follow this decision path. Select any model to begin.

Crossover: Any Frame tall enough to satisfy the parameters of the New Guide Concept can be used as a stripper and/or reduction guide. We list only those guides we feel fall most effectively into the category. Guides with wide ranging sizes can serve as stripper, reduction or running guides. These guides cross over from one category to another based on size. When you see the “crossover” notation the guide may be available in a size range that will allow a complete layout with a single frame design. Crossover guides will appear in multiple lists
