The Guide: Vol. 1 #1: Feb 2011
Welcome…
Greetings!
Thanks for subscribing to “The GUIDE”. We hope to make it everything you expect (even though we may be a little rough around the edges in the beginning). Our goal is to provide you with any and all important information from Anglers Resource® and Fuji® in a timely manner. If we can improve or contribute to a better rod building experience for you along the way…it’s all good!
Sincerely,
Anglers Resource
Seth Cavarretta wins first FUJI drawing!
Congratulations Seth!

If you’re reading our newsletter you have already been entered to win Fuji® Titanium K-Series™ Guides each month (no need to re-register) Our January winner is Seth Cavarretta, a Long Island native who grew up fishing stripers and fluke in the Northeast and now finds himself in the miltary in Texas chasing bass and crappie. Seth was chosen at random from hundreds of subscribers (and growing) and we are sending a complete KW/KT selection for a rod Seth has been wanting to build for some time. Way to go, Seth!
Be part of our Newsletter
Each month we would like to feature great rods using Fuji components. If you’d like to be included and receive mention for your work, please send an email with jpg attachment and a little info about the rod, it’s use and, of course, the guides. Be sure to tell us a little about yourself as well. We know there are some beautiful decorative wraps out there, but please, make sure there’s a Fuji guide (or two) in the photo. Send to info@anglersresource.net
NEW! Gimbal Butt Caps have arrived
Soft and easy on the belly!
Boat Rod and heavy surf rod builders are excited to see our new rubber Gimbal Butt Caps. These caps are available in two inside diameters for a variety of heavy blanks and/or shouldered cork or EVA grips on surf rods. GRC19 will offer a 19.0mm ID and GRC22 will have a 22.0mm ID. Both are just under 45mm in length and flare to a rounded 33mm OD for excellent “belly comfort”. Gimbal grooves are deep enough for stability but shallow enough to remove from the rod holder under the load of hooked fish. Order info in our online catalog
SK2 Reel Seat Catalog Revision
Too hot!
The new SK2™ Split Reel Seat is blowing out the door as fast as we can get them in so PLEASE be patient with us as we try to get a sufficient inventory on the shelf. At roughly half the weight of other reel seats, it’s an obvious choice for micro rods, but it looks super with any split grip design. The plastic hood & nut (totally new for Fuji®) gives a high-tech feel to the entire seat and rod makers are loving the way it looks!
ATTENTION: We have made a change in our on-line catalog due to some confusion on the individual component pieces. The COMPLETE ASSEMBLY stock number includes body, hood, barrel and arbor. However, if you order the individual components, the threaded barrel is NOT included with the hood & nut and must be ordered along with the hood/nut component. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Fish Photos???
Let’s not forget what we’re doing here…

A newsletter having anything to do with fishing should have fish photos. Please send us yours. Include your name, location and any other information you want to include. We like Dolly Varden as much as Blue Marlin so send them to info@anglersresource.net.
