Welcome to GPS for KR CONCEPT™, a "reboot" of our original Guide Placement Software designed and tested to provide excellent results on a wide variety of KR CONCEPT guide layouts on rods from 5'6" to 9ft! Best of all, GPS for KR uses line size, reel choices and blank length to factor in ALL the variables that influence guide placement on your build. GPS for KR is designed specifically for the KL-H high-frame, small-ring K-series frames that gave birth to the KR CONCEPT and it works for micro AND conventional builds for casting leader knots through larger running guides. Fill in four simlple steps and BAM!, you're on the way to a final layout that will require little or no additional "tweaks" and provide the quietest, smoothest, longest casting spinning layout available!

Let's get started...

1)Enter the total length in inches of your rod blank
2)Mount you reel in the reel seat and enter the distance from the rod butt to the tip of the spool axle on your spinning reel (at a "mid" position). It's OK to estimate this distance based on past rods you have built.
3)From the drop down menu, choose the size reel (series) you plan to use on this rod.
4)Choose whether you want a micro or conventional rod. A "conventional" build will use KL-H guides but non-micro running guides. Best for larger leader knots.
5)Tell us about the line you plan to use with this rod.

TIP
As a final performance tweak, consider moving the choke guide slightly further out to obtain the position shown at left. This often helps line "turn the corner" as it reaches the blank and helps smooth the flow of line even further.
